Innovation, picnic and Lao Che for the 10th anniversary of New Gliwice

Festival of Innovation and Technology, science and technology picnic and great open-air concerts – celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the “New Gliwice” Business and Education Center promise to be very interesting!

We will celebrate the 10th anniversary of New Gliwice for two days. On September 14, the third edition of the Festival of Innovation and Technology will begin. As part of the two-day festival, representatives of industry and science will discuss the future of transport, innovative aviation solutions, prospects for the development of space sector and the future of personalized medicine in Poland. A special guest of the event will be Sebastian Kawa – a titled glider pilot, winner of 26 medals of the World and European Championships.

On August 15 at Bojkowska 37 street there will be a Science and Technology Picnic TECH PIC, with the participation of the Silesian University of Technology, City Public Library and companies from the high technologies sector. Program of the picnic includes, among others, drone flight demonstrations, races of remote-controlled cars printed in 3D technology, constructor workshops for children or a circus town. In addition, foodtrucks serving original dishes and a chill out zone will be waiting for picnic visitors searching for new flavors.

10th anniversary of “New Gliwice” will be crowned with an outdoor concert. Star of the evening will be a Polish band Lao Che, promoting its latest album “Wiedza o społeczeństwie” (eng. “Knowledge about society”) in Gliwice. Bands from Gliwice and the surrounding areas will also have a chance to perform on the big stage. All they have to do is submit their participation to the “New Gliwice – New Sounds!” competition organized by GAPR and win the main prize – performance as a support for Lao Che during the final concert.
